Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

In Front of 127 Norfleet Lane, Medford on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at approximately 5:50 a.m.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Medford this morning.

Sixth Precinct police officers responded to Norfleet Lane at approximately 5:50 a.m. after a 911 caller reported an injured female lying in the road. It was determined that the woman, Olivia Thornton, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a dark-colored pickup truck.

Thornton, 30, who is homeless, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of serious injuries.
