Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a person wanted for questioning in relation to a rental scam last year.
Bakhrom Talipov, 48, also known as Victoria Jacobs, secured a tenant for a home in Southampton Town in March 2019 and collected $13,200 in rent. When the tenant went to move into the house, it was discovered Talipov did not have permission from the homeowner to find a tenant.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
