Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the people or person who damaged grass at a Port Jefferson golf course.


A person or people poured an unknown substance on five greens, damaging the grass, at the Port Jefferson Country Club, located at 44 Fairway Drive, sometime between April 8 at 7 p.m. and April 9 at 7 a.m. The cost to repair the damage is estimated at approximately $10,000.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
