Update-Man Shot to Death in Wyandanch

The Suffolk County Police Department, with the assistance of the United States Marshal Service’s New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Scranton Pennsylvania Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested a man in connection with the death of Desi Kingsberry.  Kingsberry was killed on State Avenue in Wyandanch on September 29.

Date/Time: Sunday, September 29, 2013 at approximately 4 a.m.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting death of a Wyandanch man in front of his home early this morning.

First Precinct police officers responded to a report of a man shot in front of 29 State Ave. at approximately 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found Desi Kingsberry, 30, of 29 State Ave., with a gunshot wound to his head. Kingsberry was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
