Three People Shot in Two Different Incidents in Coram

15 Fife Drive, Coram and 21 Judith Drive, Coram on Monday, March 4, 2019 at approximately 3:15 p.m.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating two shootings in Coram that occurred minutes apart this afternoon. 

Desmond Kenney and Dwight Moore were in the driveway outside of 15 Fife Drive when several masked black men armed with firearms began shooting at approximately 3:15 p.m. Moore, 26, of Coram was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue with non-life-threatening injuries. Kenney, 22, of Selden went to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Kenney was not transported by first responders.

Glen Reddick-Burwell Jr., was in his BMW in front of 21 Judith Dr., Coram, when a white Range Rover pulled up and three black men exited the vehicle. One of the men fired shots at Reddick-Burwell Jr. Reddick-Burwell Jr., fled the scene and crashed into a wooded area in the rear of 65 Route 25, Coram. Reddick-Burwell Jr., 22, of Coram, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives believe the shootings are related, and are investigating which shooting occurred first.

The Sixth Squad detectives are investigating whether this incident was related to a shooting that occurred at the IHOP restaurant in Lake Ronkonkoma earlier today. Detectives are also investigating whether there were any ties to the Bloods gang.
