Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Copiague yesterday (Wed., February 19, 2020) afternoon.
First Precinct officers responded to 70 Court Street at approximately 3:50 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a man had been shot. When officers arrived they found Jewuel Hanson, 25, of Lindenhurst, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation is continuing.
