Man Arrested for String of 7-Eleven Robberies

CENTRAL ISLIP – Ackerman Street and Carlton Avenue / Monday, October 5, 2015 at 12:01 a.m.

Suffolk County Police have arrested a homeless man for robbing multiple convenience stores during the past 10 days.

Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, Courtland Bonalde was charged with robbing the following stores:

  1. 7-Eleven, located at 260 Motor Parkway in Brentwood, on September 27 at 11:52 p.m.

  2. 7-Eleven, located at 500 Islip Ave. in Islip, on September 28 at 3:25 a.m.

  3. 7-Eleven, located at 193 Caleb’s Path in Central Islip on October 4 at 2:51 a.m.

Bonalde also attempted to rob the Central Islip location on October 2 at 3:45 p.m. but fled with no proceeds.
