Joan Roman-Ortiz is being sought by Suffolk County Police on an outstanding warrant for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. On July 12, 2013, Roman-Ortiz and others took $12,000 from another person in order to pay off a mortgage on behalf of that person. However, Roman-Ortiz kept the proceeds without paying off the mortgage. Roman-Ortiz was arrested on December 12, 2014 and charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. A warrant was issued for his arrest on October 20, 2015.
