Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Southampton on Christmas morning.
Southampton Town Police Department officers responded to a call of a burglary at 90 Roses Grove Road at approximately 8:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man inside the home who was shot.
The victim, 53 year old Steven Byrnes, who lived at the residence, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physicians assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

UPDATE: Suffolk County Police arrested a Hampton Bays man for the shooting death of Steven Byrnes in his Southampton home on December 25.
Homicide Squad detectives charged Dominick Parisi, 57, of 2 Janice Lane, with Murder 2nd Degree.
